Overview

Touro University Nevada seeks a collaborative leader to join the Division of Student Affairs as the Testing Center Manager. TUN’s Testing Center will provide accommodated testing for students who qualify. The Manager is tasked with providing coordination and administration of the testing center, including staffing and operational procedures, proctoring tests, processing pre-registration forms, and collaborating with the Office of Academic Services and Institutional Support and each respective Academic Program to schedule testing accommodations for students. In addition, the Testing Center Manager will work to provide targeted testing experiences to assist students in preparing for major exams (such as board and licensure exams). Responsibilities

  • Provide primary coordination and administration of the testing center, including staffing and operational procedures, proctoring tests, processing pre-registration forms, etc.
  • Partners with the Office of Academic Services and Institutional Support to schedule testing accommodations for students.
  • Collaborates with the academic programs in the College of Osteopathic Medicine and College of Health and Human Services on providing simulated testing opportunities for students to best prepare them for board and licensure exams. Host practice board exams for students to better prepare them for required board and or licensure exams.
  • Coordinates with the Office of Information Technology to make sure testing room and applicable software technology is up to date and functional. Ensures that the hardware and software requirements for online testing are met. Keeps up with changes in course management systems and other programs. 
  • As directed, should TUN enter into 3rd party contract with outside testing agencies this position will work with the various constituencies to ensure effective use and management of the Testing Center.
  • Assist students with questions concerning the Testing Center.
  • Maintain an inventory of Testing Center supplies and replenish as necessary.
  • Develops, implements, and enforces policy and procedures for the Testing Center.
  • Manages scheduling of Testing Center (students, academic programs, etc.).
  • Creates and updates the Testing Center calendar indicating testing schedules, dates, and times. Makes sure that the campus is aware of where to find testing center schedule and information.
  • Maintains appropriate records (e.g. test tracking logs, program statistics, and placement scores.).
  • Promotes a multi-user proctoring environment.
  • Operates in a diligent manner to promote honesty, integrity, and fairness in all testing procedures.
  • Operates under the guidelines of equal opportunity, affirmative action, and the Americans with Disability Act, and other local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Participate in University and Division of Student Affairs committees.
  • Participates in accreditation activities as requested.
  • Participate in student events and major ceremonies such as, but not limited to, orientation, white coat ceremony, commencement, match day, etc., which may fall outside of scheduled work hours.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required
