Overview

Touro University Nevada Office of Admissions is seeking full-time Application Processors for the Office of Admissions to meet TUN’s enrollment goals. Overall, coordinated processing functions that exercise best practices in application management, data entry, and customer service are required. The ideal candidates will be highly motivated, tech savvy, and excellent communicators.  Successful candidates must demonstrate the University’s core values of social justice, intellectual pursuit, and service to humanity through their work.

Responsibilities

 The Application Processors will work collaboratively to provide support for seven academic departments and ensure the application experience is timely and seamless.  They will perform data entry and facilitate the application process at specified points in the admissions funnel while providing excellent communication and collaboration with the Admissions & Recruitment Program Managers. The Application Processors report directly to the Assistant Director of Admissions and serve as members of the Office of Admissions.  As Admissions staff, they will also provide support to planning and executing prospective student events such as candidate interviews, open houses, and recruitment activities. Successful candidates will be able to perform duties in a fast-paced environment, be detail-oriented, and enjoy working on a dynamic team.

Specific Responsibilities:

  1. Accurately review and evaluate applications and materials within established timelines to determine a candidate's readiness to proceed in the application process.
  2. Update admissions decisions and facilitate communication with candidates regarding application status changes.
  3. Communicate effectively with the Admissions staff and liaise with academic departments.
  4. Communicate with prospective applicants to encourage and support the completion of the application process and execute conversion strategies.
  5. Independently evaluate completed files and make admission decisions based on established criteria.
  6. Process application documents, download materials, and create electronic files.
  7. Serve as a liaison and engaged member within the Division of Student Affairs and University community, participating in committees, events, and projects.
  8. Work as a team to coordinate the department's events for prospective applicants and incoming students.
  9. Communicate effectively via phone and email to prospective applicants and accepted students.
  10. Assist with recruitment to increase awareness of TUN's programs and provide guidance in the application process, including following up with applicants.
  11. Show openness to learning about individuals from diverse backgrounds and demographics and demonstrate an inclusive attitude toward all social identities.
  12. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High school equivalent
  • An associate degree or bachelor's degree preferred 

Experience:

  • Management of large volume of records
  • Compliance with FERPA and best practices exercised in higher education

Skills & Abilities:  

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including grammar and formal speech
  • Flexible, resilient, and uplifting demeanor
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Able to exercise sound judgment
  • Attention to detail and situational awareness
  • Competency in technology computer skills; experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Banner (or similar student information system), FileMaker Pro, CRMs, and Excel a plus
