Overview

Touro University Nevada Office of Admissions is seeking a full-time Sr. Associate Director of Recruitment for the Office of Admissions to meet TUN’s enrollment goals through coordinated, planned, and data-driven recruitment practices. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and experienced in recruitment best practices and funnel management.  The Sr. Associate Director of Recruitment oversees the coordination of yearly action plans to meet enrollment goals of seven academic departments and ensures information is provided to prospective students on all aspects of the University.  The successful candidate must demonstrate the University’s core values of social justice, intellectual pursuit, and service to humanity through their work.

Responsibilities

The Sr. Associate Director of Recruitment will work closely with Admissions leadership to provide seamless and excellent service to prospective students, academic departments, fellow Division of Student Affairs departments, and non-Touro partners.  The hired professional will formulate and implement comprehensive recruitment plans to meet enrollment goals and attract a more competitive, diverse, and inclusive student body.  Additionally, this position uses independent authority and discretion and is authorized to commit the University to admissions decisions.  Local and out-of-state travel for recruitment events and professional development is required.  This position supervises the Assistant Director of Admissions of Outreach and their supervisees of two full-time Admissions & Recruitment Program Managers.  This position reports to the Director of Admissions. 

Specific Responsibilities:

  1. Finalize and operationalize the execution of recruitment strategies to ensure enrollment goals are satisfied.
  2. Identify emerging and new markets for prospective recruitment.  Travel to recruitment venues of identified universities and colleges and meet with advisors, prospective students, etc. 
  3. Monitor and forecast changing trends in student recruitment.
  4. Develop and foster relationships with external stakeholders such as undergraduate advisors, student clubs, faculty, and community leaders.
  5. Manage recruitment budget, and oversee TUN’s participation in recruitment events, including staff assignment, registration, and assessing ROI for events.
  6. Supervise and provide direction to the Assistant Director of Outreach and the Admissions & Recruitment Program Managers. The Sr. Assoicate Director will also assist the Director of Admissions with overseeing the daily operations of the department.
  7. Communicate effectively with the Director of Admissions recruitment outcomes, potential recruitment areas, and budget needs.
  8. Through targeted recruitment efforts, liaison with various TUN departments to highlight and feature their services, programming, and curriculum to prospective applicants.
  9. Work with leadership and the Admissions staff to achieve enrollment goals.
  10. Assist with the design of effective marketing and recruitment materials and the development of strategies.
  11. Function as a recruiter to increase awareness of TUN’s programs and provide guidance in the application process, including engagement with prospective applicants via emails, phone, texting, and in-person and virtual presentations.
  12. Oversee the yearly admissions update with each academic program to ensure updates to academic program admission requirements and procedures are accurate on the TUN website, collateral, and centralized application systems.
  13. Work closely with the Assistant Directors of Admissions to oversee recruitment and application processing to ensure seamless transitions through each stage of the admissions funnel.
  14. Oversee communication with prospective applicants to encourage and support the completion of the application process and formulate conversion strategies.
  15. Coordinate and assess recruitment events such as open houses, information sessions, campus tours, pathway programs, and accepted student events, both virtual and on campus.
  16. Collaborate with the Admissions team to manage the communication plan and oversee prospective student collateral, including postcards, CRM, social media, and email campaigns.
  17. Collaborate with the Office of Financial Aid, Bursar, and Office of Advancement regarding scholarships to ensure timely communication that aligns with recruitment and retention efforts of prospective students.
  18. Serve as a liaison and engaged member within the Division of Student Affairs and University community, participating in committees, events, and projects.
  19. Create statistical reports and provide analytical data to assist with recruitment, enrollment, and yield strategies.
  20. Collaborate with mid-level executives to help solidify and manage existing partnerships within healthcare systems, businesses, and educational entities.
  21. Show openness to learning about individuals from diverse backgrounds and demographics demonstrate an inclusive attitude toward all social identities.
  22. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:          

  • Master’s degree required

Experience:

  • Significant experience in recruitment, admissions, or student services
  • Persuasive public speaking
  • Proven track record in exercising data-driven decisions concerning the achievement of enrollment goals
  • Compliance with FERPA and best practices exercised in higher education

 

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including grammar and formal speech
  • Established leadership and supervisory skills
  • Able to travel for recruitment and professional development; must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to utilize various forms of transportation
